BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) – Carderro Nwoji scored 18 points to lift Florida Atlantic from a halftime deficit to a 82-72 victory over New Orleans on Wednesday.
Nwoji was a perfect 5 for 5 from the field, including four from 3-point range.
New Orleans’ Bo McCalebb scored 33 points, including 18 in the first half to give the Privateers a 45-40 halftime lead.
McCalebb hit a three-pointer to pull New Orleans (14-8) to 75-71 with just over a minute remaining. FAU’s Sean Alarcon made a layup to put the lead back to six points and secure the game for the Owls.
Carlos Monroe added 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Owls (8-14).
