BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -Chris Douglas-Roberts converted a three-point play with 6.5 seconds left, giving No. 1 Memphis a 79-78 win over UAB Saturday night and keeping the Tigers perfect.
The Blazers’ Robert Vaden then missed badly on an off-balance 3-point attempt and Lawrence Kinnard grabbed the long rebound. He heaved up a shot in the paint that went in, and officials promptly headed to the scorer’s table to watch replays.
They ruled that Kinnard didn’t get the shot off in time, and the Tigers’ (25-0, 11-0 Conference USA) 44-game regular-season and 34-game league winning streaks were intact.
UAB (17-8, 7-3) is the last CUSA team to beat Memphis, 715 days earlier.
Douglas-Roberts had 32 points and seven rebounds. Antonio Anderson added 27 points and four 3-pointers for the Tigers.
Vaden scored 27 points and made four 3s for the Blazers after missing the previous game with a groin injury. Memphis native Kinnard added 19 points and 11 boards.
No. 3 Kansas 69, Colorado 45
halmers had 13 points and Kansas held Colorado’s Richard Roby to just two points in the Jayhawks’ 25th straight at home over the Buffaloes.
The Jayhawks (24-2, 9-2 Big 12) scored 23 points off turnovers and outrebounded the overmatched visitors 38-24.
Marcus Hall had 15 points for Colorado (10-14, 2-8), which has lost nine of its last 11.
Roby, the 6-foot-6 senior who had averaged 18 points in three games at Allen Fieldhouse and had a 30-point effort here last season, was guarded mostly by Darrell Arthur. He missed his first seven shots and wound up 1-of-11 from the field.

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) – Chris Lofton scored 19 of his 22 points in the second half and Wayne Chism had 16 points for Tennessee, which stretched its winning streak to seven games.
Lofton was 1-of-6 from 3-point range before halftime, but the senior hit five 3 in the second half, pushing his Southeastern Conference-record total to 398.
Tennessee (23-2, 10-1) has won eight straight in the series with Georgia (12-11, 3-7), including a sweep of this season’s two games.
Sundiatta Gaines led Georgia with 23 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Terrance Woodbury added 14 points but missed two 3-pointers in the final minute.

Tar Heels (24-2, 9-2 Atlantic Coast Conference), who dominated the entire way to avenge last season’s sweep by the Hokies.
North Carolina shot 50 percent and held a 54-24 rebounding advantage, while its defense held Virginia Tech to 26 percent shooting.
Malcolm Delaney scored 20 points for the Hokies (14-11, 5-6), who have lost three straight games.

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) – Brook Lopez had 23 points and 10 rebounds and his twin brother Robin added 14 points to lead Stanford.
Trailing 62-54 with 4:23 to play, the Wildcats scored nine straight points to take a 63-62 lead on Chase Budinger’s free throw with 2:03 remaining.
Brook Lopez tied it with a free throw and then hit a 2-footer to put the Cardinal (21-4, 10-3 Pac-10) up 65-63 with 1 minute to go. Sixteen seconds later, Budinger responded with a 3-pointer from the top of the key to give the Wildcats a 1-point lead.
After Brook Lopez hit two free throws with 18 seconds to go, Budinger missed a running 5-footer in the final seconds.
Jerryd Bayless had 31 points, his third straight game of at least 30 points for Arizona (16-9, 6-6), which has lost three of four.
Syracuse 77, No. 8 Georgetown 70
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) – Paul Harris scored 22 points and freshman Donte Greene added 18 to lead Syracuse.
The Orange (17-9, 7-6 Big East), coming off a surprising loss at South Florida, built a 21-point lead in the first half and withstood two late rallies by the Hoyas (20-4, 10-3).
Freshman Jonny Flynn had 17 points and nine assists for the Orange.
Jonathan Wallace led the Hoyas with a career-high 26 points.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Matt Howard scored 17 points and Butler avenged one of its two losses this season.
A.J. Graves added 15 points for the Bulldogs (24-2, 13-2 Horizon League), who won their eighth straight.
Cedric Jackson scored 20 points and J’Nathan Bullock added 11 for Cleveland State (17-11, 10-6), which had won three in a row. Bullock had averaged 26.3 points in Cleveland State’s previous three games, but the Bulldogs held him to 5-for-15 shooting.
Cleveland State beat Butler 56-52 on Jan. 17, the Bulldogs’ last loss.

WACO, Texas (AP) – With Kevin Durant watching his former teammates, Damion James had 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead Texas to its fifth straight victory and 22nd in a row against the Baylor.
Baylor closed the game with a 15-6 run, a stretch when the Longhorns (21-4, 8-2 Big 12) missed seven free throws – including three straight one-and-one chances. Tweety Carter and Henry Dugat had consecutive 3-pointers for the Bears (17-7, 5-5).

Leonard Houston and Josh Young both had 12 points for the Bulldogs (23-2, 14-1), who bounced back from a 65-62 loss at Southern Illinois on Wednesday – their first since November – by outscoring Northern Iowa 17-7 down the stretch.

Vanderbilt (22-4, 7-4 Southeastern Conference) has won 29 of its last 30 at Memorial Gym dating to last season. The Commodores’ fifth straight win moved them into third place in the SEC’s Eastern Division.
