LOS ANGELES (AP) -Southern California forward Kasey Cunningham will undergo season-ending left knee surgery in the next few weeks.
The redshirt freshman tore the anterior cruciate ligament and lateral meniscus in his knee during practice Wednesday. He had an MRI exam Friday that revealed the damage, the school said.
Recovery time for ACL injuries is usually six-to-nine months.
Cunningham averaged 2.7 points and 2.6 rebounds in nine games this season, including three starts.
He redshirted last season after he tore the ACL in the same knee during his senior year at Cibola High in Albuquerque, N.M.
