MALIBU, Calif. (AP) -Patrick Mills scored 18 points and Todd Golden had 15 and 10 assists as No. 23 St. Mary’s hit 17 3-pointers in a 100-64 win over Pepperdine on Monday night.
The Gaels (23-3, 10-1) went 17-for-29 from beyond the arc and hit 15 of 18 free throws.
St. Mary’s built huge runs, including a 19-2 burst in the first half. Ryan Holmes and Mychel Thompson scored 14 points apiece, Malcolm Thomas had 11 points and 11 rebounds and Rico Tucker chipped in 10 points for Pepperdine (9-18, 3-8).
At halftime, the Gaels led by 30, then by 36 with roughly 12 minutes remaining.
In the first half, the Gaels hit 10 of 16 3-point baskets while the Waves made none of 10 attempts.
