CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) -Tyler Hansbrough had 20 points and Ty Lawson added 10 in his first home game in a month to help No. 1 North Carolina beat Florida State 90-77 on Tuesday night.
Marcus Ginyard added 13 points for the Tar Heels (28-2, 13-2 Atlantic Coast Conference), who led by 12 at halftime and maintained a comfortable margin through most of the second half for their seventh straight victory. The Tar Heels have won eight straight meetings and 19 of 22 in the series.
Jason Rich had 27 points for the Seminoles (17-13, 6-9), who were trying to win four straight ACC games for the first time in 15 years.
Lawson sprained his left ankle in the early minutes of an 84-73 overtime win over Florida State and missed the next six games. He returned to the lineup over the weekend, scoring four points in 21 minutes at Boston College.

No. 9 Texas 70, Nebraska 66
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) – D.J. Augustin scored 22 points and the Longhorns went 6-for-6 from the free throw line in the final minute.
A.J. Abrams hit a clutch 3-pointer with 41 seconds left for the Longhorns (25-5, 12-3), who moved into a tie for first in the Big 12 with No. 5 Kansas. Texas was coming off an 83-80 loss at Texas Tech that ended an eight-game winning streak.
Aleks Maric had 17 points for Nebraska (17-11, 6-9), which tied the game for the last time at 61-61. Abrams, who was 1-for-5 from the field in the first half, scored 11 points in the second half, including going 4-for-4 from the free throw line in the final minute.

Ohio St. 80, No. 15 Purdue 77, OT
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – Othello Hunter, one of Ohio State’s worst free throw shooters, hit two foul shots and made a big defensive play down the stretch.
The loss dropped the Boilermakers (23-7, 14-3), one-half game behind first-place Wisconsin in the Big Ten.
Jamar Butler scored 23 of his 25 points in the second half for Ohio State (18-12, 9-8), which ended a four-game losing streak. Hunter, averaging 9.3 points a game, had 15, as did Evan Turner.
E’Twaun Moore had 16 points for the Boilermakers, who had won 13 of 14.
With 1:28 left in overtime, Hunter was fouled on a dunk attempt and the 56 percent free throw shooter hit them both for a 74-72 lead. He then got a hand on an inbounds pass under the Purdue basket that Butler was able to intercept.

No. 21 Marquette 67, Florida Gulf Coast 37
MILWAUKEE (AP) – Lazar Hayward had 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead Marquette.
Wesley Matthews scored 12 points and Dominic James added 11 for Marquette (22-7), which came up with its second-best defensive effort in the nine seasons under coach Tom Crean. Marquette held Illinois State to 32 points during the 2004-05 season.
Adam Liddell, Casey Wohlleb, Terike Barrowes, Rob Quaintance and Roman Narmbaye all scored six points for Gulf Coast (10-21) in the first meeting between the schools.
