LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) -Sherron Collins scored 18 points and No. 3 Kansas finished the first half on a 15-2 run in a 90-60 victory over Loyola of Maryland on Tuesday night.
The Jayhawks (15-0) improved to 15-0 for the fifth time in school history and first since starting the 1989-90 season 19-0. They remained one of six undefeated Division I teams.
Darrell Arthur and Sasha Kaun added 14 points each for the Jayhawks.
Gerald Brown had 13 points for Loyola (6-9), who dropped to 0-18 all-time against ranked opponents.
The Greyhounds shot 33 percent from the field and were outscored 38-12 inside.
No. 6 Michigan St. 78, Purdue 75
EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) – Reserve Kalin Lucas scored 16 points and Travis Walton had his only four points over the final 22 seconds as the Spartans survived a scare for their 11th straight win.
The Spartans (14-1, 2-0 Big Ten) built a 16-point lead in the first half, then fell behind by five with 5:52 left. They had a 5-0 run over the final 1:47.
Durrell Summers had 15 points for the Spartans, who shot 61 percent from the field.
Chris Kramer had 19 points and Nemanja Calasan added 18 for the Boilermakers (10-5, 1-1), who played without No. 3 scorer and top rebounder Robbie Hummel, who was sidelined with flu symptoms.
No. 7 Georgetown 76, DePaul 60
ROSEMONT, Ill. (AP) – Roy Hibbert had 17 points and 11 rebounds for Georgetown which dominated from the start with its defense.
The Hoyas (12-1, 2-0 Big East) won their fourth straight since losing at No. 2 Memphis.
Georgetown scored the game’s first 11 points and led by as many as 24 before taking 46-25 lead at halftime.
Mac Koshwal had 14 points and 13 rebounds for DePaul (6-8, 2-1), which had won four straight and was off to a 2-0 league start for the first time ever.
The Blue Demons missed 18 of their first 22 shots, while the Hoyas connected on 12 of their first 17. At halftime, the Hoyas were 19-for-29 (65 percent) while DePaul was 8-of-33 (24 percent), including 2-of-14 on 3-pointers. Georgetown finished at 54 percent and held DePaul to 32 percent.
No. 10 Indiana 78, Michigan 64
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) – D.J. White scored 21 points and had a career-high 22 rebounds for Indiana, which won its ninth straight.
Freshman Eric Gordon had 23 points for the Hoosiers (13-1, 2-0 Big Ten).
Freshman Manny Harris had 19 points for the Wolverines (4-11, 0-3), who have their worst 15-game record since opening 2-13 in 1981-82.
The Hoosiers led 55-37 early in the second half, breaking the game open with a 22-5 run. The Hoosiers shot 44 percent from 3-point range and had 20 second-chance points.
No. 15 Marquette 61, Seton Hall 56
MILWAUKEE (AP) – Jerel McNeal scored 14 points, Dominic James added 13 and Dan Fitzgerald hit a key 3-pointer in the closing seconds for Marquette.
Their 11th straight home win helped the Golden Eagles (12-2, 2-1 Big East) rebound from a tough loss at West Virginia on Saturday.
Eugene Harvey had 18 points for Seton Hall (10-5, 0-2).
After finally taking a lead with 5:58 left, Marquette held on by going 6-of-9 from the free throw line down the stretch.
Larry Davis’ turnaround jumper made it 58-56 with 40 seconds to go, but on the next possession, the Pirates elected not to foul and Wesley Matthews drove and bobbled the ball before finding Fitzgerald for the wide-open 3 with 9.4 seconds left. Fitzgerald finished with 12 points on 4-of-9 shooting on 3s.
