West Virginia is 2-2 in Big East play after a 38-35 loss to Louisville last week. The Mountaineers have now lost two of their last three games. Offensive hasn’t been an issue for WVU, as it ranks 13th in the country in scoring at 38.2 points per game. They also rank seventh in the country in passing at 361 yards per game. Geno Smith has thrown for 3,125 yards and 23 touchdowns on the year to lead the team. Defensively, the Mountaineers have allowed 27.4 points per game.
In terms of Injuries, Cincinnati defensive back Dominique Battle is out for the season with a knee injury while West Virginia defensive lineman Joshua Taylor is questionable with an undisclosed injury.
