Nebraska is off to a 2-0 start with both games coming at home. The Cornhuskers are averaging 41 points per game while allowing only 18. Nebraska got a bit of a scare last week from Fresno State, as Nebraska edged the Bulldogs 42-29. Nebraska trailed 20-14 in the second half before rallying to win, but the Cornhuskers gave up 444 yards of offense, including 190 rushing yards. On offense, Taylor Martinez led Nebraska, rushing for 166 yards and two scores while passing for 219 yards and one score.
Washington has a pair of single-digit wins this season, beating Eastern Washington 30-27 at home before topping Hawaii by a score of 40-32 at home last week. The Huskies tallied 466 yards of offense in last week’s win with quarterback Keith Price throwing for 315 yards and four touchdowns. On defense, Washington allowed 333 passing yards from Hawaii, but did hold the Warriors to 55 rushing yards.
In terms of Injuries, Washington safety James Sample is doubtful with a shoulder injury while running back Deontae Cooper will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. Nebraska cornerback Alfonzo Dennard is questionable with a leg injury.
