Chip Kelly is in his third season with Oregon and coming off back-to-back 10-win seasons after going 12-1 in the 2011 season. The Ducks lost to Auburn in the BCS National Championship Game by a score of 22-19. This season, Oregon brings back 13 starters, including two offensive studs.
According to oddsmakers, Oregon has 12/1 odds to win the 2012 BCS National Championship and 8/5 odds to win the PAC-12 Conference. Oddsmakers have the Ducks with 5/4 odds to win the PAC-12 North. Oddsmakers have not set an over/under win total for Oregon.

The Oregon offense will be headlined by running back LaMichael James, who rushed for 1,731 yards and 21 touchdowns last season. Quarterback Darron Thomas is also back. The junior threw or 2,881 yards and 30 touchdowns last season while rushing for 486 yards and five touchdowns. James has 15/2 odds to win the Heisman Trophy according to oddsmakers, while Thomas has 35/1 odds to win. On defense, Oregon has just five starters back, but does bring back three starters from its secondary, which allowed 218 yards per game last season.
Oregon is 22-4 in Kelly’s two season as coach. The Ducks have won at least 10 games the last three seasons overall. Oregon has a tough start to the season, as it takes on LSU in Arlington, Texas. In conference play, Oregon will head to Arizona and Stanford while hosting the likes of USC and Oregon State.
Against the spread, the Ducks were 7-5-1 last season, which was their eighth-straight season of having a .500 record or better against the spread. The Ducks were 4-1-1 against the spread at home. When it comes to the over/under, Oregon hit the over in 8 of 13 lined games. The Ducks hit the over in 5 of 6 homes games and 3 of 4 games played on grass.
