Penn State is 3-0 on the road and 5-1 in the Big Ten and the Nittany Lions still have a chance to make it to the Big Ten Championship Game if they win out. Penn State is coming off a 17-14 loss to Nebraska last week at home after an emotional week in which Paterno was fired amidst a child molestation scandal with the university and former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky. Penn State out-gained Nebraska 375-331 in the loss but was just 5-of-16 on third down attempts. Stephfon Green rushed for 71 yards and two touchdowns to lead the team in the loss.
Ohio State is 5-1 at home this season and now 3-3 in the Big Ten following a 26-23 overtime loss at Purdue last week. The Buckeyes have no chance to make the Big Ten Championship Game. The Buckeyes were held to 295 total yards in last week’s loss. Ohio State had only 132 passing yards and they now sit 118th in the country in passing. Braxton Miller did throw for two touchdowns in the loss but was just 8-of-18 passing for the 132 yards.
In terms of Injuries, Penn State running back Joe Suhey is questionable to play due to a shoulder injury while Ohio State receiver DeVier Posey is listed as questionable to play due to a suspension he is currently serving.
