Florida State was 5-3 in the ACC this past season and they won six of their last seven games to close the season, and their lone loss was by one point to Virginia. FSU has the fourth-best scoring defense in the country, allowing just 15.2 points per game. On offense, the Seminoles are scoring 31.7 points per game. The team has been led by quarterback E.J. Manuel, who has thrown for 2,417 yards and 16 TD’s.
Notre Dame closed the season with a 28-14 loss to Stanford, which snapped a four-game winning streak for the Irish. Notre Dame has scored 30.5 points per game this season on offense while allowing just 20.9 points per contest. Notre Dame has plenty of offensive weapons, but the top player may be receiver Michael Floyd, who has caught 95 passes for 1,106 yards and eight TD’s.
In terms of Injuries, Notre Dame tight end Jake Golic is questionable with an arm injury and receiver Daniel Smith is questionable with a leg injury. Florida State receivers Jarred Haggins (quad) and Willie Haulstead (concussion) are both questionable for the game.
