We finished 3-1 with our picks in Week 1, nailing Boise State (-3 vs. Georgia), Minnesota (+24 vs. USC) and Middle Tennessee State (+17.5 vs. Purdue). We fell short with Oregon, which clearly was overmatched against the LSU Tigers. Below are our top four picks for Week 2 in college football.

Alabama vs. Penn State, 3:30PM ET
The Crimson Tide proved last year that Penn State didn’t belong on the same field as them and while the Nittany Lions will be at home this time around, I see a similar result as last season. According to latest college football trends, Alabama is 7-0 against the spread in its last seven non-conference games and 6-1 in its last seven games in September. The Tide are also 4-1 in their lat five games as a favorite and 4-1 in their last five games overall. Meanwhile, the Lions are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games overall and 1-9 ATS in their last 10 games in September. They’re also 1-5 ATS in their last six games as an underdog.
College Football Free Pick: Take Alabama –10.
The Horned Frogs are too good to lose two-straight games, even though they face a tough road test this Saturday against Air Force. According to latest college football trends, TCU is 5-2 against the spread in its last seven games against Air Force and 7-1 ATS in its last eight games as a favorite of 0.5-3.0 points. The Horned Frogs are also 35-16-1 ATS in their last 52 conference games and 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a straight up loss. Meanwhile, the Falcons are 1-5 ATS in their last six games following a straight up win and 1-6 in their last seven conference games.
College Football Free Pick: Take TCU +1.
