The craziest game of the weekend had to be Michigan topping Notre Dame 35-31. The Wolverines were 3.5-point underdogs at home against the Fighting Irish. Notre Dame was dominating play early and led 24-7 entering the fourth quarter. The Wolverines managed to rally for three scores to make it 28-24 with just over a minute to play. The Irish answered, scoring with 30 seconds to play to make it 31-28 with only 30 seconds to play. Still, that was somehow enough time for Michigan, as the Wolverines scored with 2 seconds remaining. Michigan ended up covering the spread comfortably and the two combined to hit the over.
Another notable game saw two SEC teams slug it out with South Carolina edging Georgia 45-42. The Bulldogs came into the home game as a 3-point underdog, so the game was a push, while the over/under odds of 51 points were shattered. The two teams combined for over 800 yards of offense in a game that was expected to have some impressive defensive play.
