Defensively, Illinois allowed 306 passing yards to the Broncos, but held them to just 35 yards on the ground. Illinois was dominant on the ground, totaling 296 rushing yards. Troy Pollard led the way with 133 yards on 14 carries.
Northwestern is coming off a 21-14 loss to Army last week. Northwestern never led in the game and had just 309 yards of offense in the game. The Wildcats had 194 passing yards as two different quarterbacks combined to go 17-of-30 passing with two touchdowns. On defense, Northwestern allowed 381 rushing yards to Army.
In terms of Injuries, Illinois receiver Darius Millines is questionable with an arm injury while offensive lineman Corey Lewis is doubtful with a knee injury. Northwestern receiver Tony Jones is questionable with a foot injury while linebacker Roderick Goodlow is questionable with a leg injury.
