Michigan is coming off a 28-14 loss to Michigan State two weeks ago, which was its first loss of the season. Michigan was held to just 250 total yards in the game, including only 82 rushing yards. Defensively, the Wolverines were solid, holding MSU to just 333 total yards, but they did allow 213 rushing yards to MSU. Denard Robinson finished 9-of-24 passing for 123 yards with a touchdown while rushing for 42 yards on 18 carries with a score.
Purdue is coming off a 21-14 upset win over Illinois last week. The Boilermakers took a 21-0 lead in the first half and were able to hold off the Illini in the fourth quarter. Purdue had just 304 total yards in the game but held Illinois to only 121 rushing yards. Caleb TerBush threw for 178 yards and two scores in the win. Purdue has yet to win on the road this season, losing both road games by a combined seven points.
In terms of Injuries, Michigan offensive lineman Ricky Barnum (ankle) and linebacker Brandon Herron (leg) are both questionable for Saturday’s game while Purdue tackle Justin Kitchens is questionable with a shoulder injury.
