LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – After they were snubbed for a BCS bowl, Boise State looks to make a statement tonight when it takes on Arizona State in the 2011 Las Vegas Bowl.
Odds: Oddsmakers have installed Boise State as a 14-point favorite over Arizona State, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 66 for tonight’s game. The Sun Devils barely qualified for a bowl with a 6-6 record during the regular season, while the Broncos wrapped up 2011 with an 11-1 record. The Broncos lone blemish came in a 36-35 loss to TCU in mid November.
Line Movement: The Broncos opened as a 13.5-point favorite but since then their odds have gone up slightly to –14. (Some sports books even have Boise State listed at –14.5.) The over/under total opened at 68 but is down slightly to 66 at most books, although some places have the total listed at 66.5.
