College Football Free Pick: Take the Broncos. Western Michigan owned the No. 1 passing attack in the MAC and while that may not impress followers of the Big Ten, it’s hard not to be impressed with the Broncos’ offense if you’ve had the chance to watch them this season. Led by Alex Carder, Western Michigan’s up-tempo, no-huddle attack will give Purdue fits – especially on the carpet of Ford Field. According to latest college football trends, the Boilermakers are 1-5 against the spread in their last six games versus the MAC and 0-4 ATS in their last four bowl games. The Broncos, meanwhile are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games overall and have enough weapons to pull off a small upset. Plus, this game might mean more to Western Michigan than Purdue, which barely qualified for a bowl.
