Central Michigan opened the season with a tough win over Southeast Missouri State. The Chippewas were tied 24-24 at halftime, but dominated the second half. The Chippewas ended up with 495 total yards of offense, but had three turnovers in the process. The running game was the key to victory, as Zurlon Tipton rushed for 180 yards and three touchdowns while Anthony Garland added 102 yards and a score.
In terms of Injuries, Central Michigan has no injuries to report while Michigan State guard Blake Treadwell is expected to miss this game with a tibia injury while nose tackle Brandon Clemson is out with a foot injury.
