Both teams come into the game at 1-0 overall and 1-0 against the point spread odds. Alabama dominated Michigan, 41-14, in the featured game of Week 1. Western Kentucky defeated Austin Peay 49-10 in its opener. Alabama won the first and only meeting between these two back in 2008.

Alabama beat up Michigan in Week 1. The Crimson Tide held a 31-0 lead at one point and out-gained a potent Wolverine offense, 431-269 in total yards. The Alabama defense held Denard Robinson to just 27 rushing yards and 11-of-26 passing with three turnovers. On offense, Alabama ran the ball all over Michigan, racking up 232 rushing yards. Freshman T.J. Yeldon rushed for 111 yards on 11 carries with one score to lead Alabama.
Western Kentucky had a very lopsided win over Austin Peay. The Hilltoppers outgained Peay 596-154 in total yards. Quarterback Kawaun Jakes had 296 passing yards with four scores while running back Leon Allen had 93 yards and a score on 13 carries. The offensive outburst was a far cry from WKU’s average of last year, where it posted just 22.9 points and 349 yards per game.
In terms of Injuries, Alabama linebacker Trey DePriest and Tana Patrick are both listed as probable for Saturday’s game with undisclosed injuries. Western Kentucky defensive back Jamal Forrest and receiver Joel German are both doubtful to play because of shoulder injuries.
