UCLA looked very strong in its debut under new coach, Jim Mora Jr. The Bruins out-gained Rice 646-358 in total yards in the season opener. UCLA rushed for a total of 303 yards as running back Johnathan Franklin had 214 yards and three touchdowns on just 15 carries. Quarterback Brett Hundley added 202 passing yards and two touchdowns on 21 of 28 passing.
In terms of Injuries, UCLA receiver Ian Taubler is listed as questionable for the game with an ankle injury while Nebraska defensive back Mohammed Seisay is questionable with an ankle injury as well.
