Texas A&M is playing its first game as its season opener with Louisiana Tech was postponed due to Hurricane Issac. Florida is 1-0 overall and 0-1 against the spread after beating Bowling Green, 27-14, last Saturday. These two have only met twice and split the two games. A&M is playing in its first SEC contest.

Oddsmakers see Texas A&M as the favorite at home in this game, as the Aggies are getting odds of -1.5 against Florida. The over/under odds for the game have been set at 51 points. (View Matchup) The opening odds had Florida favored, as the Gators had a point spread of -1. The spread quickly jumped to Texas A&M -2.5 but has since fallen back to 1.5.
Florida struggled with Bowling Green, finding themselves tied at 14-14 midway through the third quarter. The Gators held Bowling Green to 327 total yards, but amassed just 365 yards themselves, continuing their offensive struggles from last year. Florida quarterback Jeff Driskel went 10 for 16 passing for 114 yards while Jacoby Brissett was 3 of 5 for 31 yards. The Florida offense was led by running back Mike Gillislee, who rushed for 148 yards on 24 carries with two touchdowns.
Texas A&M comes into this season opener after a 7-6 record in 2011. The Aggies were just 4-5 in Big 12 play last year and now begin the jump into the SEC. Offensively, the Aggies posted 39.1 points and 490 total yards per game in 2011. A&M returns seven starters on offense this year, led by receiver Ryan Swope, who caught 89 passes for 1,207 yards and 11 TDs. A&M will be breaking in a new quarterback and running back this season. Defensively, A&M averaged 28.2 points and 378 yards per game. The unit returns six starters, including linebacker Sean Porter, who had 9.5 sacks in 2011.
In terms of Injuries, Texas A&M has no new injuries to report while Florida cornerback Jeremy Brown is questionable with a wrist injury suffered against Bowling Green.
