According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Oregon is a 23.5-point favorite over visiting Arizona for tonight’s 10:30PM ET start time. The Wildcats and Ducks both enter tonight’s game with identical 4-0 records and both are just 1-3 against the spread this season. To take it one step further with the comparisons, both team’s over/under record is also an identical 2-2. The total for tonight’s game is sitting at 83 points.
The Wildcats beat California 49-45 two weeks ago but couldn’t cover as an 8-point home favorite. Quarterback Anu Solomon completed 47-of-73 attempts for 520 yards with five touchdowns and two interceptions while also rushing for 46 yards on 16 carries.
Meanwhile, the Ducks beat Washington State September 20 but failed to cover as 23-point road favorites in a 38-31 victory. The Ducks were 9-1 heading into last year’s meeting in Arizona but the Wildcats pulled off a shocking 42-16 win on November 23 to ruin Oregon’s chances at a fifth straight BCS bowl appearance.
Injuries have Oregon currently without two starters on its offensive line in Jake Fisher and Andre Yruretagoyena. Tyrell Crosby and Matt Pierson filled in at left and right tackle, respectively, against the Cougars.
NCAA FREE PICK: Take the over. According to latest college football trends, the over is 6-1 in the Wildcats’ last seven games in October, 5-1 in their last six games after allowing more than 40 points in their previous game and 4-0 in their last four road games versus a team with a winning home record. The over is also 23-9-1 in the Ducks’ last 33 games following an ATS loss, 5-1 in their last six home games versus a team with a winning road record and 35-16-1 in their last 52 home games.
