Utah is 8-4 on the season with some big wins over the likes of UCLA and Stanford, but some tough losses as well against teams like Oregon, Arizona and Arizona State. The Utes went 5-4 in the Pac-12 this season, but finished the year 2-3 in its last five. Utah has had a good history with Colorado State, winning its last five meetings and covering the spread in four of those five games. Utah was 8-4 against the spread this season, but was 1-3 ATS in its last four.

Colorado State was ranked for a short time this season. The Rams ultimately went 10-2 on the year and 6-2 in the Mountain West with losses to Boise State and Air Force. The team had a great season, but that cost them head coach Jim McElwain, who left to take over at Florida. The Rams were 8-4 against the spread this season and they covered in three of their last four while hitting the over in four of their last five.

Oddsmakers see this as a close contest, as oddsmakers from BetDSI have made Utah a slight favorite, giving the Utes odds of -2.5 points vs. Colorado State (View Matchup). The over/under total for the game is listed at just 57.5 points.

The story to this game will likely be what can Colorado State do against the Utah defense. The Rams have one of the top offenses in the country, racking up 497.8 yards per game. Utah is a defense that is allowing 403.2 yards per game, but it is hard to say how those numbers will translate, given Utah played much tougher competition throughout the season. The Utes will be tested by CSU quarterback Garrett Grayson, who has thrown for 3,779 yards and 32 touchdowns.
