According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Aggies are 10-point favorites over the Miners for today’s game while the total is currently sitting at 44 points. Utah State opened as 11-point favorites before the line was bet down to the key number of 10, while the total opened as high as 52 before coming crashing down to its current number.
The Aggies lost nine starters to season-ending injuries this year, including three quarterbacks. Freshman quarterback Kent Myers threw five touchdown passes and ran for four scores in the last six games for Utah State but the Aggies are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five non-conference games. They’re also 1-7 ATS in their last eight games after accumulating less than 170 yards passing in their previous game.
On the other side, the Miners are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven games overall and a profitable 4-1 ATS in their last five games on grass. UTEP is also 4-0 ATS in its last four games after allowing more than 200 yards rushing in its previous game.
