Air Force vs. Michigan St. Odds
Coming off a huge win last Saturday, No. 4 Michigan State hopes to avoid a slip up this week when it hosts Air Force at Noon ET on ABC.
According to oddsmakers at GTBets, Michigan State is the clear favorite at home, as the Spartans are getting odds of -26.5 points against Air Force. The over/under total for the game has yet to be set. These two have no recent meetings to go off of, but Air Force has covered the spread in its last four games while Michigan State has hit the over in 7 of its last 8 non-conference games.
Michigan State is 2-0 on the season, 0-2 against the spread and 1-1 with the over/under total. The Spartans defeated Western Michigan on the road, 37-24, to start the year and then beat Oregon at home last weekend, 31-28. MSU had a great game with Oregon, with the contest coming down to the final minute. The Spartans had 389 yards of offense while allowing 432 yards to Oregon. However, MSU held the Ducks to just 123 rushing yards, which is far below their average. Madre London rushed for 103 yards to lead MSU while L.J. Scott had 76 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Connor Cook was 20 of 32 passing for 192 yards with two touchdowns.
Air Force is 2-0 on the season, 2-0 against the spread and 1-1 with the over/under total. The Falcons beat Morgan State 63-7 to open the season and the defeated San Jose State, 37-16. Air Force is averaging an impressive 411 rushing yards per game with its unique offense. The defense has been holding opponents to just 242.5 yards per game. Quarterback Nate Romine has thrown for 143 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 111 yards and a score. However, Romine suffered a knee injury and is expected to miss the rest of the season. The Falcons could rely on D.J. Johnson, who has rushed for 185 yards and four touchdowns.
