According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Iowa is the slim road favorite, as the Hawkeyes are getting odds of -2.5 points at Northwestern on Saturday. The over/under total for the game has been set at 40 points. Iowa has won and covered the spread in three of its last four against Northwestern. These two have hit the under in eight of their last 10 meetings.

Iowa is 6-0 on the season, 2-0 in the Big Ten, 4-2 against the spread and 3-2-1 with the over. The Hawkeyes have won their last two games by single digits, beating Wisconsin 10-6 and Iowa 29-20. Iowa is now averaging 31.7 points and 409.3 yards per game on offense while allowing 16.2 points and 310.3 yards per game on defense. C.J. Beathard has thrown for 1,239 yards and nine touchdowns this year to lead the offense while Jordan Canzeri has rushed for 697 yards and nine touchdowns.

Northwestern is 5-1 on the season, 1-1 in the Big Ten, 4-2 against the spread and 5-1 with the under. The Wildcats are coming off a surprising 38-0 loss at Michigan last week. Northwestern hadn’t allowed 38 total points in its previous five games combined. The Cats were held to just 168 total yards and just 38 rushing yards in the loss while allowing 380 yards to Michigan, including 201 yards on the ground. Northwestern is led this season by Justin Jackson, who has 661 rushing yards and a touchdown while Clayton Thorson has thrown for 817 yards and four scores with four interceptions.
