According to oddsmakers at MyBookie, Pittsburgh is the favorite on the road, as the Panthers are getting odds of -6.5 points against the Orange. The over/under total for the game has been set at 51.5 points. Pittsburgh has won nine of its last 10 meetings with Syracuse and the Panthers are 7-2-1 against the spread in those 10 games. These two have hit the under in their last three meetings.

Pittsburgh is 5-1 on the season, 3-0 in the ACC, 4-2 against the spread and 3-2-1 with the over. The Panthers are coming off a 31-28 win at Georgia Tech last week for their third straight win, all of which have been by 7 points or less. Pitt is led by its defense which allows just 21.8 points and 301.7 yards per game. Its pass defense ranks 13th nationally, allowing just 167.5 yards per game. On offense, Pitt is averaging just 27.8 points and 346.2 yards per game. The team is led by Qadree Ollison, who has rushed for 559 yards and five touchdowns. Syracuse is 3-3 on the season, 1-1 in the ACC, 4-2 against the spread and 6-0 with the over. The Orange are coming off a 44-38 loss to Virginia last week for their third straight loss. The Orange is averaging 32.2 points per game despite averaging just 340.3 yards per game. Defensively, Syracuse is allowing 27.8 points and 393.5 yards per game. The team is led by Eric Dungey, who has thrown for 810 yards and nine touchdowns while Jordan Fredericks, who is the leading rusher, has rushed for 269 yards and three scores.
