According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Michigan State is the clear favorite to win this game, as the Spartans are getting odds of -21.5 points against Purdue. The over/under total for the game has been set at 56.5 points. Michigan State has won six straight over Purdue, while the Boilermakers have covered the spread in the last three of this series.

Michigan State is 4-0 on the season, 0-4 against the spread and 2-2 with the over/under total. MSU was expected to have a high-powered offense this season, but the Spartans are only putting up 33.2 points and 372.2 yards per game. The defense hasn’t quite been outstanding either, giving up 20.8 points and 395.8 yards per game. Connor Cook has thrown for 838 yards and nine touchdowns on the season while Aaron Burbridge has caught 24 passes for 405 yards and four scores. Madre London and L.J. Scott have combined for 505 rushing yards and five touchdowns.

Purdue is 1-3 overall, 1-3 against the spread and 2-2 with the over/under total. Purdue is putting up 30.2 points and 421.2 yards per game on offense this year, but the Boilermakers are giving up 35.2 points and 442.2 yards per game. David Blough made his first start at QB last week and he has 351 passing yards with two touchdowns on the season while D.J. Knox and Markell Jones have combined for 499 rushing yards and four touchdowns.
