Ohio St. vs. Indiana Odds
No. 1 Ohio State hits the road for its Big Ten opener on Saturday when it takes on Indiana at 3:30PM ET on ABC.
According to oddsmakers at MyBookie, Ohio State is the heavy favorite on the road, as the Buckeyes are getting odds of -21 points against the Hoosiers. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 67.5 points. While Ohio State hasn’t lost to Indiana in over a decade, the Hoosiers have covered the spread in four straight meetings with the Buckeyes.
Ohio State is 4-0 on the season, 1-3 against the spread and 3-1 with the under. Ohio State has been great on defense, allowing just 12.2 points and 253.2 yards per game thus far, but the offense hasn’t been quite as potent as many expected. Still, the Buckeyes are averaging 34.5 points and 436 yards per game, including 231.5 rushing yards per contest. Ezekiel Elliott has rushed for 455 yards and five touchdowns while Cardale Jones has thrown for 622 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 147 yards.
Indiana is 4-0 on the season, 3-1 against the spread and 3-0-1 with the over. The Hoosiers are unbeaten through basically out-shooting their opponents. IU is averaging 38.2 points and 522.2 yards per game on offense, but the defense is giving up 32 points and 499 yards per game. Indiana has had three of its four wins by 7 points or less, including last week’s 31-24 win at Wake Forest. IU is led by Nate Sudfeld, who has thrown for 1,143 yards and seven touchdowns while Jordan Howard has rushed for 675 yards and four scores. Ricky Jones has added 18 catches for 411 yards and three touchdowns.
