Tennessee vs. Alabama Odds
No. 8 Alabama looks to continue its march toward a playoff spot on Saturday when it hosts Tennessee at 3:30PM ET on CBS.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Alabama is favored at home, as the Crimson Tide are getting odds of -15.5 points against the Vols. The over/under total for the game has been set at 54 points. Alabama has won eight straight meetings with Tennessee and the Crimson Tide are 7-2 against the spread in the last nine of this series.
Alabama is 6-1 on the season, 3-1 in the SEC, 3-4 against the spread and 4-3 with the under. The Tide are coming off a 41-23 win over Texas A&M last week for their fourth straight win. All four of those wins have been by double figures. Bama is averaging 35.6 points and 430.1 yards per game on offense while the defense is allowing just 16.7 points and 271.9 yards per game, which ranks sixth in the nation. The team is led by Derrick Henry, who has rushed for 901 yards and 12 touchdowns. Jake Coker has added 1,376 passing yards and 11 touchdowns.
Tennessee is 3-3 on the season, 1-2 in the SEC, 3-3 against the spread and 4-2 with the over. The Vols are coming off a 38-31 win at Georgia two weeks ago to snap a two-game losing streak. Tennessee has had all three of its losses come by a combined 12 points. The Vols are averaging 37.2 points and 434.7 yards per game on offense but allowing 25.7 points and 421.2 yards per game on defense. The team is led by Joshua Dobbs, who has thrown for 1,101 yards and eight touchdowns while also rushing for 368 yards and five scores. Jalen Hurd has added 569 rushing yards with seven touchdowns.
