According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, eight players currently have over/under totals for rushing touchdowns. Leading the pack is Pitt RB James Connor, whose total is set at a whopping 22.5 with even money lines of -120 on both sides of the over and the under. The next closest total is Royce Freeman of Oregon, who is at 16.5. Samaje Perine of Oklahoma is listed at 15.5 while Derrick Henry of Alabama and Ohio State’s Ezekiel Elliott are at 14.5. Nick Chubb of Georgia is set at 13.5 while Leonard Fournette of LSU is at 12.5. The lone QB listed is Trevone Boykin of TCU, who is at 7.5.

In 2014, the highest rushing TD total was 29, set by Melvin Gordon at Wisconsin, but Conner wasn’t far off, totaling 26 scores. Perine was also one of nine running backs to score 20 times on the ground, as he had a total of 21 TDs.

Elliott finished the season with 18, but he really came on strong the second half of the season. With a full season, he could really push a high number. Freeman joined Elliott with a total of 18 for the season while Chubb had 14 despite not being the featured back entering the season.

Fournette posted 10 touchdowns in the 2014 season but his stock is rising and he could see increased carries in 2015. Henry had 11 touchdown runs, but was splitting time with T.J. Yeldon in the backfield. He should be more of a primary back this year. When it comes to Boykin, he rushed for eight touchdowns last season on a total of 707 yards.
