According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, Western Kentucky is a 2.5-point home underdog versus Louisiana Tech after opening as a 2-point favorite. The total has also seen significant movement, going from 67 points down to 62.5.
Louisiana Tech put up 59 points on Western Kentucky last year and the Bulldog offense could be even better this season. That’s because they added former Florida quarterback Jeff Driskel, who scored five touchdowns in their opener, which was a 62-15 win over Southern. The Bulldogs also put up 35 in their bowl game against Illinois.
Western Kentucky has a very explosive offense as well, even though the Hilltoppers scored just 14 on the road last week against Vanderbilt. Expect Western Kentucky Brandon Doughty to bounce back from last year’s poor performance against the Bulldogs.
