The 2015 college football season kicks off tonight at 6:00PM ET when South Carolina and North Carolina clash at Bank of American Stadium in Charlotte.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Gamecocks are 2.5-point favorites versus the Tar Heels while the over/under is sitting at 63 points. South Carolina opened favored by a field goal before the line dropped, while the total opened as high as 66.5 at some books.
The Tar Heels are winless at 0-5 against the spread in their last five games in September and they’re 1-4 against the number in their last five non-conference games. On the other side, the Gamecocks are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games versus ACC opponents.
The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Connor Mitch is a four-star recruit out of high school and is more of a prototypical pocket quarterback than previous Gamecock signal-callers such as Connor Shaw. He should do well running Steve Spurrier’s offense.
