LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – The College Football Season is upon us, as Week 1 is set to take place later this week. Here is a look at the odds for the opening set of games.

The featured game of the opening week has No. 3 Alabama taking on No. 20 Wisconsin on Saturday at 8PM ET on ABC from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX. According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Alabama is favored in this contest, as the Crimson Tide are getting odds of -10 points against the Badgers. The over/under total for the game has been set at 52 points. These two have no recent meetings, but Alabama is 4-1 against the spread in its last 5 vs. Big Ten opponents while hitting the over in 13 of its last 17 at a neutral site. Wisconsin has hit the over in 3 of its last 4 at a neutral site.

Another big game this Saturday takes place at 7:30PM ET when No. 11 Notre Dame hosts unranked Texas on NBC. Oddsmakers have the Fighting Irish as a home favorite, giving them odds of -9.5 points against the Longhorns. The over/under total has been set at 54.5 points. These two haven’t met since 1996 and haven’t met at ND since 1995. Texas is 4-1 against the spread in its last 5 road games while Notre Dame has hit the over in its last 6 games to end the 2014 season.
