Missouri vs. Arkansas St. Odds
No. 21 Missouri looks to pick up a non-conference road win on Saturday when it takes on Arkansas State at 7PM ET on ESPN3.
According to oddsmakers at GTBets, Missouri is the favorite on the road, as the Tigers are getting odds of -10.5 points against Arkansas State. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 59 points. These two last met in 2013 with Missouri getting a 41-19 win at home, covering a 21.5-point spread by the slimmest margin.
Missouri started the season with a 34-3 win over SE Missouri State at home. The Tigers didn’t cover the 39.5-point spread and went under the 55-point total. Missouri dominated with defense, holding SE Missouri State to just 191 total yards and only 56 passing yards. The Tigers had 407 total yards on offense. Leading the way was Maty Mauk, who threw for 181 yards and two touchdowns in limited action. Receiver J’Mon Moore had three receptions for 74 yards with one touchdown.
Arkansas State opened the season with a 55-6 loss at USC last weekend. The Red Wolves were getting 27 points in the game and also went under the 66.5-point total. Arkansas State actually had 401 yards of offense in the game, but had four turnovers keep it from scoring more. Defensively, the Red Wolves allowed USC to rack up 509 yards of offense. James Tabary was 7 of 11 passing for 95 yards in limited action while Michael Gordon rushed for 55 yards on 12 carries with a touchdown.
