According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Tigers are 7.5-point home favorites over the Bearcats after opening as a 7-point favorite. The total, meanwhile, is sitting at 68 after opening at 67.
Memphis enters play with a 3-0 record while Cincinnati is 2-1 after dropping a Week 2 matchup with Temple as a 6-point favorite. The Bearcats rallied last week by beating Miami OH 37-33, although they failed to cover as a 21-point road favorite. The Tigers are 2-1 against the spread, with their lone non-cover coming last week in a 44-41 win over Bowling Green as a 3.5-point favorite.
Memphis put up over 40 on Cincinnati on the road last year. Cincinnati QB Gunner Kiel, who has is expected to play through a shoulder injury threw for 216 yards in that game. Memphis QB Paxton Lynch threw for 311 yards and two score, while Sam Craft ran for 170 yards. Lynch threw for 386 yards and three TDs last week in their 3-point win over Bowling Green on the road (44-41). Expect both offenses to put up points in an old-fashioned offensive shoot-out.
