UL-Monroe vs. Alabama Odds
No. 12 Alabama looks to bounce back from its first loss of the season on Saturday when it hosts Louisiana-Monroe at 4PM ET on the SEC Network.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Alabama is the overwhelming favorite to win, as the Crimson Tide are getting odds of -38 points against UL-Monroe on Saturday. The over/under total for the game has been set at 55 points. These two last met in 2007, with UL-Monroe actually getting a 21-14 win at Alabama.
Alabama is 2-1 on the season, 1-2 against the spread and 2-1 with the over. The Crimson Tide are coming off a 43-37 loss to Ole Miss at home last week for a surprising loss. The Tide had 503 yards of offense in the win, but had five turnovers and gave up 433 yards to the Rebels. Derrick Henry led the charge with 127 rushing yards and a touchdown. Jake Coker threw for 201 yards with three touchdowns, but he had two interceptions and was only 21 of 45 passing.
UL-Monroe is 1-1 overall, 1-1 against the spread and 1-1 with the over/under total. The Warhawks started the year with a 51-14 loss at Georgia and then returned home to beat Nichols State, 47-0. UL-Monroe has a respectable passing attack as Garret Smith has thrown for 576 yards and five touchdowns to lead the team. The ground game has just 247 yards on the year with only 3.9 yards per carry. Rashon Ceasar has 23 receptions for 250 yards and two touchdowns.
