Washington St. vs. Cal Odds
No. 24 California looks to live up to its new top-25 ranking on Saturday when it hosts Washington State at 4PM ET on the Pac-12 Network.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, California is the clear favorite at home in this game, as the Bears are getting odds of -19 points against the Cougars. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 70.5 points. Cal has won nine of its last 10 against Washington State, covering the spread in three of the last four meetings.
Cal is 4-0 on the season, 1-0 in the Pac-12, 3-1 against the spread and 2-2 with the over/under total. The Bears have had a tough offense to stop, as they are averaging 45.8 points and 542.5 yards per game. The defense is holding opponents to 22.2 points and 382.8 yards per game. Cal already holds wins over Texas and Washington coming into this game thanks to Jared Goff, who has thrown for 1,240 yards and 11 touchdowns. Khalfani Muhammad is the leading rusher with 309 yards and a touchdown. Kenny Lawler is the leading receiver with 21 catches for 294 yards and six touchdowns.
Washington State is in its conference opener. The Cougars are 2-1 on the season, 1-2 against the spread and 2-1 with the under. Washington State isn’t quite putting up its usual offensive numbers. While averaging 449.3 yards per game on offense, the Cougars are scoring just 28.3 points per game. The defense hasn’t been too bad, giving up just 24 points and 368.3 yards per game. After a loss in the opener to Portland State, Washington State has since beat Rutgers and Wyoming. Quarterback Luke Falk is leading the offense with 1,070 yards and eight touchdowns while three different receivers have over 200 yards on the year. The Washington State rushing attack has just 260 yards as a team and averaging only 3.9 yards per carry.
