According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Virginia Tech is the slight favorite at home in this game, as the Hokies are getting odds of -2.5 points against the Wolfpack. The over/under total for the game has been set at 45.5 points. Virginia Tech has won and covered the spread in seven of its last nine against N.C. State.

N.C. State is 4-1 on the season, 0-1 in the ACC, 4-1 against the spread and 3-2 with the under. The Wolfpack are coming off a 20-13 loss to Louisville last week for their first loss. N.C. State is averaging 39.6 points and 428.4 yards per game on offense while holding opponents to just 13.6 points and 225.8 yards per contest. The team is led by Jacoby Brissett, who has thrown for 992 yards and seven touchdowns this season while Matthew Dayes has added 522 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns.

Virginia Tech is 2-3 on the season, 0-1 in the ACC, 2-3 against the spread and 4-1 with the over. The Hokies have lost two straight to Pittsburgh and ECU coming into this game. The team could get a boost if Michael Brewer is able to return. The quarterback was injured in the opener against Ohio State and hasn’t been back, but is listed as probable for this game. He had 156 yards and two touchdowns against the Buckeyes. Travon McMillian is the leading rusher for Tech with 223 yards while Isaiah Ford has caught 24 passes for 382 yards and three touchdowns.
