According to oddsmakers at GTBets, Boise State is the favorite on the road in this game, as the Broncos are getting odds of -2.5 points against the Cougars. The over/under total for the game has been set at 55 points. Boise State has won three of the last four between these two, but the Cougars have covered the spread in three of the last four. These two have hit the under in three of their last four meetings as well.

Boise State opened the season with a 16-13 win at home over Washington. The Broncos were a 12-point favorite coming into the game, so they didn’t cover, and they hit the under of 54 points. The game lacked a lot of offense as Boise State had just 337 yards of offense while holding Washington to just 179 total yards and 29 rushing yards. Boise State was led by Jeremy McNichols, who rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns while Ryan Finley threw for 129 yards on 16 of 26 passing.

BYU defeated Nebraska on the road, 33-28, last week on a hail mary at the end of the game. The Cougars were a 5.5-point underdog, so they covered, and they also hit the over of 57.5 points on the game-winning score. BYU finished with 511 yards of offense in the win while allowing 445 yards to the Huskers. Taysom Hill had 268 yards passing and 72 yards rushing with three total touchdowns, but he suffered yet another season-ending injury in the game. Tanner Mangum took over and threw for 111 yards and a touchdown in Hill’s place. Receiver Nick Kurtz had a nice game as well, catching five passes for 123 yards.
