According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Toledo is the favorite on the road, as the Rockets are getting odds of -14 points against UMass. The over/under total for the game has been set at 62.5 points. Toledo has won the last two against UMass, but the Minutemen covered the spread in last year’s first MAC meeting.

Toledo is 6-0 on the season, 3-0 in the MAC, 5-0-1 against the spread and 5-1 with the under. The Rockets are coming off a 63-20 win over Eastern Michigan. They have won their last two by at least 30 points. Toledo is averaging 34.7 points and 446.2 yards per game on offense, led by its run game that is averaging 204.5 yards per game. The Toledo defense ranks seventh nationally in scoring, allowing just 13.2 points per game. Phillip Ely has thrown for 1,379 yards and 10 touchdowns to lead the offense while Terry Swanson has rushed for 472 yards and four scores.

UMass is 1-5 on the season, 0-2 in the MAC, 2-4 against the spread and 3-3 with the over/under total. The Minutemen have lost two straight, including a 15-10 loss to Kent State last week. UMass struggles on defense, allowing 37.7 points and 489.5 yards per game. The offense is putting up 22.7 points and 425.5 yards per game and is led by its 15th-ranked passing attack, which averages 327.5 yards per game. Blake Frohnapfel has thrown for 1,794 yards and 10 touchdowns to lead the offense while Tajae Sharpe has caught 65 passes for 738 yards and two touchdowns.
