According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, the over/under for total passing yards for Jameis Winston has been set at 318.5, while the over/under for passing yards for Marcus Mariota has been set at 300.5.
Mariota is the 2014 Heisman winner after throwing for 3,783 yards and 38 touchdowns this season. He is also a rushing threat, which could impact his passing numbers on Thursday. He has 669 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns. Mariota leads an Oregon offense that averages 308.2 passing yards per game and 545.5 total yards per contest. He will face an FSU defense that is allowing just 218.2 passing yards per game. Mariota has thrown for over 300 yards in seven games this season, including his last three.
Winston was the 2013 Heisman winner, but his 2014 season hasn’t been as strong. He has thrown for 3,559 yards and 24 touchdowns this season, but also has 17 interceptions. The Florida State passing game is averaging 299.8 yards per contest and 434.7 total yards per game, and they are facing an Oregon defense that allows 259.5 passing yards per contest. Winston has thrown for at least 319 passing yards in just three of his 12 games this season.
