According to oddsmakers at GTBets, Georgia is the favorite on the road, as the Bulldogs are getting odds of -20.5 points against the Commodores. The over/under total is currently listed at 51 points. Georgia has won seven of its last eight against Vanderbilt, but the home team is 4-1 against the spread in the last 5 between these two.

Georgia opened the season with a 51-14 win over Louisiana-Monroe last week, covering a 35-point spread in the process while going over a 57-point total. The Bulldogs only had 435 yards of offense in the victory, but dominated on the ground with a 243-45 edge in yards. Nick Chubb started his Heisman campaign by rushing for 120 yards and two touchdowns while Keith Marshall added 73 rushing yards and two scores. Greyson Lambert made that start at quarterback and had 141 yards with two touchdowns on 8 of 12 passing.

Vanderbilt suffered a 14-12 loss at home to Western Kentucky to open the season. However, the Commodores were 2.5-point underdogs, so they did cover. They also went well under the 60-point total. Vandy actually outgained WKU 385-246 in the game but it lost the turnover battle, 3-0. Johnny McCrary threw for 217 yards and a touchdown, but also had two interceptions while Ralph Webb rushed for 70 yards on 18 carries.
