2019 College Football Title Odds
After winning their fifth national championship in the Nick Saban era, the Alabama Crimson Tide are once again favored to win it all next season.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com, the Crimson Tide are 5/2 favorites over the rest of the field to win the 2019 College Football National Championship. The team they beat in the semi-finals this season, the Clemson Tigers, have the next-best odds at 13/2, while the team they beat in the national title game, the Georgia Bulldogs, are 8/1 to win it all next season.

Alabama was likely to be favored regardless of erasing a 20-7 deficit in the third quarter in this season’s national championship (a game the Tide won, 26-23 versus Georgia in overtime), but there’s even more reason to believe the Tide will win it all again next year.
That’s because a star was born in freshman quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who replaced starter Jalen Hurts at halftime and rallied ‘Bama from multiple 13-point deficits. One of his three touchdowns came on a game-tying pass to Calvin Ridley on a fourth down late in the fourth quarter and his last score was a 41-yard walk-off to DeVonta Smith for the game-winner. Assuming Tagovailoa starts next fall, Alabama will be harder to beat than ever before. Unlike previous quarterbacks to play under Saban, Tagovailoa is a true dual-threat, capable of beating teams with his arm and legs.
After Alabama, Clemson and Georgia, Ohio State has the next-best odds at 33/4, followed by MIchigan at 12/1. Penn State is 14/1 and Oklahoma is 20/1. Miami, Michigan State, Texas and Wisconsin are all 25/1, respectively, while LSU and Washington are both 30/1, respectively.
Some of the mid-range long-shots include Florida State, Notre Dame, Stanford, USC, Virginia Tech and West Virginia, who are all 40/1, respectively. Texas A&M, meanwhile, is 45/1, while Florida, Oregon and TCU are 60/1, respectively.
