Michigan vs. Penn St. Odds
No. 14 Michigan looks to stay in the Big Ten race on Saturday when it hits the road to face Penn State at Noon ET on ABC.
According to oddsmakers at MyBookie.ag, Michigan is favored on the road, as the Wolverines are getting odds of -3.5 points against Penn State. The over/under total for the game has been set at 41.5 points. Penn State has won and covered the spread in four of its last five against Michigan, including three straight at home.
Michigan is 8-2 on the season, 5-1 in the Big Ten, 5-5 against the spread and 5-5 with the over/under total. The Wolverines are coming off a 48-41 OT win at Indiana last week to stay in the conference race. If Michigan wins out, it will win a share of the Big Ten East and could play for the conference title. Michigan is led by its defense, which ranks sixth in scoring (14.8 ppg) and second in total defense (268.7 ypg). Offensively, Michigan is averaging 32.6 points and 393.7 yards per game. Jake Rudock has thrown for 2,220 yards and 14 touchdowns to lead the offense while De’Veon Smith is the leading rusher with 582 yards and five scores while Amara Darboh has caught 45 passes for 567 yards and four touchdowns.
Penn State is 7-3 on the year, 4-2 in the Big Ten, 4-6 against the spread and 7-3 with the under. The Nittany Lions are coming off a 23-21 loss at Northwestern last week to fall out of the conference running. PSU is averaging 25.2 points and 350.3 yards per game on offense this year while the defense is giving up 17.7 points and 311.2 yards per contest. Christian Hackenberg has thrown for 1,992 yards and 13 touchdowns this season while Saquon Barkley has run for 836 yards and seven scores. The leading receiver is Chris Godwin, who has 49 receptions for 808 yards and three scores.
