Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made Nebraska a 6-point favorite over Oklahoma State in Week 8. The over/under total for this game is currently 60 points.
Let’s get to our free pick.
The Cornhuskers enter Saturday’s game with a 5-1 record, but they’re just 2-3-1 against the spread this season. They are, however, 2-0 on the road this year and covered in each of those games.
The Cowboys are a perfect 6-0 this season and have covered in five of those six outings. They’re also 4-0 at home this season and 3-1 against the number at Boone Pickens Stadium.
Our Pick:
Although they didn’t show it last week in their loss to Texas, the Huskers have one of the toughest defenses in the nation and Bo Pelini is sure to put together a great scheme against an explosive OK State offense. That said, oddsmakers appear to be undervaluing the Cowboys here. Nebraska is 1-5 against the spread in the last six meetings between these two teams and the underdog is 5-1 ATS in the last six overall meetings. We’ll gladly pick Oklahoma State getting points at home when the Cowboys may beat the Huskers outright.
