The defense is allowing just 15.1 points and 301.1 yards per contest. Jones has thrown for 1,265 yards and seven touchdowns this year, but also has five interceptions. The offense is led by Ezekiel Elliott, who has 1,130 rushing yards with 13 touchdowns.

Minnesota is 4-4 overall, 1-3 in the Big Ten, 3-5 against the spread and 4-4 with the over/under totals. The Gophers are coming off a 29-26 loss to Michigan at home in which they were stopped on the 1-yard line as time expired. Minnesota has lost two straight and is dealing with an interim coach after Jerry Kills had to retire for health reasons. Minnesota is averaging 21.1 points and 364.8 yards per game on offense while the defense is allowing 23.9 points and 324.6 yards per game. Mitch Leidner has thrown for 1,627 yards and eight touchdowns this year to lead the offense while Rodney Smith has run for 541 yards and a score.
