Duke vs. North Carolina Odds
Two big ACC rivals meet up this week when No. 21 North Carolina hosts Duke at Noon ET on ESPN2.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, North Carolina is the favorite at home, as the Tar Heels are getting odds of -8 points against Duke on Saturday. The over/under total for the game has been set at 56.5 points. North Carolina has won eight of its last 10 against Duke, but the Blue Devils are 3-2 against the spread in the last five of the series.
North Carolina is 7-1 on the season, 4-0 in the ACC, 5-3 against the spread and 5-3 with the under. UNC is coming off a 26-19 win at Pittsburgh last week for its seventh straight loss since a 17-13 loss to South Carolina in the opener. The Heels average 36.9 points and 469.9 yards per game on offense this year while the defense is holding opponents to just 17 points and 338 yards per game. UNC has the third-ranked passing defense, allowing just 152.9 yards per game through the air. Marquise Williams has thrown for 1,623 yards and 11 touchdowns while rushing for 528 yards and five scores to lead the offense. Elijah Hood has added 744 rushing yards with eight touchdowns.
Duke is 6-2 on the year, 3-1 in the ACC, 5-3 against the spread and 6-2 with the under. Duke is coming off a “loss” to Miami last week, 30-27. The loss came on an eight-lateral kick return by Miami that was scored as a touchdown, but the conference suspended the ref crew for many missed calls on the play. Still, Duke is given the loss in the record book. The Blue Devils are putting up 32.6 points and 420.8 yards per game on offense this year while the defense is allowing 16.1 points and 295 yards per game. Thomas Sirk has thrown for 1,788 yards and 12 touchdowns while rushing for 485 yards and three scores to lead the offense. Max McCaffrey has added 34 catches for 450 yards and three touchdowns.
