According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, North Carolina is favored on the road, as the Tar Heels are getting odds of -5 points against Virginia Tech. The over/under total for the game has been set at 61.5 points. Virginia Tech has won four of its last five against North Carolina, with the Hokies going 3-2 against the spread in those five games. These two have hit the under eight of their last 10 meetings.

North Carolina is 9-1 on the season, 6-0 in the ACC, 7-3 against the spread and 5-5 with the over/under total. UNC is coming off a 59-21 win over Miami for its ninth straight victory. The Heels are now averaging 42 points and 495 yards per game on offense, while the defense is allowing 18.8 points and 382.2 yards per contest. Marquise Williams has thrown for 2,222 yards and 16 touchdowns to lead the offense while Elijah Hood has run for 945 yards and 12 scores. Williams has also added 659 rushing yards with nine scores. Mack Hollins has 22 catches for 585 yards and seven touchdowns as well.

Virginia Tech is 5-5 on the year, 3-3 in the ACC, 5-5 against the spread and 5-5 with the over/under total. The Hokies are coming off a 23-21 win at Georgia Tech last week for their second straight victory. The team has been playing stronger since Frank Beamer announced this would be his last as coach. Tech is now averaging 29.8 points and 370.2 yards per game on offense while the defense is allowing 24 points and 336.7 yards per game. Michael Brewer has thrown for 849 yards and eight touchdowns this season but missed time due to injury. Travon McMillian is leading the offense with 800 rushing yards and five scores while Isaiah Ford has 49 catches for 661 yards and eight touchdowns.
