Alabama Crimson Tide Game Notes
Jalen Milroe completed 17 of 21 passes for 225 yards, one touchdown and one interception during Saturday’s 24-10 win versus Mississippi. He also had 16 rushes for 28 yards. Milroe tossed a gorgeous touchdown pass to put the Tide in the driver’s seat, sticking in the pocket and taking a huge hit to deliver a long touchdown to freshman Jalen Hale. After a brief benching, Milroe is poised to remain the starter for Alabama at quarterback for the remainder of the season. There should be plenty of points available at Mississippi State next weekend.
Mississippi State Bulldogs Game Notes
Will Rogers completed 30 of 48 passes for 487 yards, one touchdown and one interception during Saturday’s 37-30 loss versus South Carolina. As expected, this game was a shootout, though Rogers only found the end zone once. Despite the loss, Rogers went over 250 yards passing for the first time this season, and cleared that mark with ease. Hopefully this will spur Rogers to more success after a slow start to the year, though a date with Alabama next weekend is far from ideal.

Alabama vs. Mississippi State Betting Prediction
Give me the under. Alabama’s defense suffocated Jaxton Dart and the Ole Miss offense last week, specifically in the second half. The Tide’s red zone defense stood out the most, forcing the Rebels to settle for field goal attempts or fourth down conversions in which they came up short. On the other side, the Tide still have problems offensively. Milroe looked better in the second half but was shaky in the first two quarters. I think the Tide will need to win a lot of games this season by running the ball and playing strong defense.
